The world may not like Donald Trump, but New York does.

And it does not even matter that, on the eve of the New York presidential primary, he messed up his praise of the hero cops and firefighters of 9/11 by referring to the event as 7-Eleven.

New Yorkers don't care. Nobody cares. New Yorkers -- and a lot of other people -- love him anyway. He is one of the

The fire company nearest the WTC is number 711.

What a pathetic attempt - how does Cruz benefit from having so many pathetic folks taking such pathetic flailing stabs in order to boost him?

Interesting.....bet he has a memory of a Fire Truck with that number in bold face and it popped up.

Of course, our brain automatically goes to the neighborhood store.

And the Cruz brains have Trump buying a slurpee.

2 sons and a beautiful daughter. Change it to the Trump party and wait for the dynasty.

Anyone who brings up the 7/11 reference is PATHETIC. It was a mistake. An easily understandable misspeak. Faux pas, if you will. A slip of the tongue.

Everyone knew what he meant to say. While I understand the humor in it, remember we are talking about the deadliest attack on U.S. soil. THOUSANDS were killed. It wasn’t funny.

The proper thing to have done would have been to ignore it. I understand the season, and it was maybe worth “a mention”, but to try and beat Donald Trump to death with it, is disgusting and insensitive to the families of 9/11, New York City, for that matter all New Yorkers.

Rehashing this “nothing” of a faux pas is now nothing more than rank partisanship and should STOP. RIGHT NOW.

It isn’t funny anymore.

I am a frequently posting "Cruz brain" and stated plainly that it was a slip of the tongue, nothing more, made by anyone who is recorded constantly.

It is unfortunate that so many posts are aimed at the supporters of each candidate.

“bet he has a memory of a Fire Truck with that number in bold face and it popped up.”

I doubt it was anything as romantic as that. It was a slip of the tongue. That happens. Seven eleven / nine eleven.
You can say what you want about him and I personally have but in this case, there is no controversy. Just a slip of the tongue.

“I watched our police and our firemen down at 7/11, down at the World Trade Center right after it came down.”

He said what he meant- Engine 7/Ladder 1/Battalion 1 made famous in the documentary and was down at the World Trade Center when it came down. New Yorkers new what he meant.

It was never funny. Worrying about the fact that social media has turned much of the country into particularly nasty middle school girls is a waste of time. If stuff like this floats their boats, they, like the Cruzlims, are beyond redemption.

He wasn’t confused at all. He was talking about “going down to 711.” I.e., he was referring precisely to the fire house he recently visited.

What will Trumpbots do as Trump evolves “so openly” left and cozying up with Field Marshall Manafort’s new friends, the GOPe?

Gotta run to buy a lot more popcorn.

Trump, his ardent followers believe, is going to
build a wall,
make Mexico pay for it,
deport illegal immigrants,
tear up the Iran deal,
tilt toward Israel,
bring jobs back from China,
destroy ISIS,
punish terrorists,
reorganize NATO,
force allies to pay for U.S. protection
and make America great again.

Pretty good summary! Does the writer think this is somehow an indictment? If he only does half, we'll be way, way ahead of
1) where we are now and
2) where we would be if we elect any of the other candidates, GOP or Dem.

The Cruzbots really ARE the Mean Nasty far-right folks who want to throw grandma over the cliff and starve senior citizens.

Problem is: Cruz doesn’t benefit but Cruz is just like them. It’s all about power.
