It’s a beautiful state, but I’ve never been to Bridgeport. It does have some gorgeous bridges on the Merritt Parkway. We drove through there on our way back from Florida on one of our trips.

Thought I had enough time to mow the lawn, but he's fast.

Looks like a smaller venue.

I believe he is simply channeling the feelings and emotions that have been pent up over many years in all true Americans no matter what side of the aisle they are on.

I understand what you are saying!

Serious men and women have been waiting for decades for a candidate like Mr. Trump.

It is also a blessing when phone-banking to reach someone that wants to let you know how pleased they are that someone from Mr. Trump's campaign has called them. Many relate a similar message of gratitude and hope!

That makes sense. It's definitely not a Boston market!

>>>Except there is no DC Chapter to plan it<<<

Where there’s a will there’s a way. There might not be a DC Chapter anymore, but using the power of Twitter, Facebook, Free Republic, and the likes- I could see it happening. I could see a committee being formed right out of the forum body.

There’s bound to be some freepers in the surrounding states that would step up to the plate.

Of course this is all premature, not because the presidential outcome is in doubt so much, but because the Boss is the final arbiter of the idea, and it would have to be a decision he makes once it’s official... meaning after Trump is nominated in July, in Cleveland.

I honestly don’t know about Gov. Huckabee’s band and it’s status.

Here’s a brief read that some of the newer freepers might find interesting, since Free Republic is mentioned in the first sentence.

Huckabee’s band played at Washington inaugural balls put on by the Free Republic in both 2001 and 2005. In recent years Capitol Offense has honed their sound to such an extent that they have opened for several high profile artists, including The Charlie Daniels Band, Dionne Warwick, REO Speedwagon,[5] Willie Nelson, Percy Sledge, .38 Special, and Grand Funk Railroad.[6] During 2007, front man Huckabee took his musical act on the presidential stump with him, performing numerous times without Capitol Offense during his campaign in Iowa. At one stop, backed by two record store employees, he covered a Chuck Berry song, before answering questions from the crowd at the store.[4] During Huckabee’s 2008 campaign, Boston’s guitarist and songwriter Tom Scholz, a supporter of Democratic candidate Barack Obama wrote to Huckabee, requesting him to stop performing the Boston song More than a Feeling at public appearances. Huckabee was reported to have been regularly playing the song, sometimes with former Boston band member Barry Goudreau (who was a Huckabee supporter).

“The FNC saving grace is Greta, O’Reilly, Hannity, Watters, and even Kelly who brought forth the olive branch”

Don’t forget Judge Jeanine. I don’t know about Kelly I tuned into her show for the first time in about a year and it seemed the same as usual. Bill Bennett was on and would not take her BS. I was really surprised with Bill. He was very fair to Trump.

Yes, CT is definitely the nicest state I've lived in. I work in NYC which is 70 miles away as the crow flies. But I get to come home and be surrounded by horse farms, deep woods, and lots of creeks and waterfalls. Many, many miles of hiking and you'd think you were in the middle of Maine!

Definitely a beautiful state but a state of great contrasts. Either you are very well off or very poor. Not too much in between. I'm very fortunate to have a job in the city (Manhattan) because here in CT, jobs are leaving the state very quickly.

The parkway is a nice drive, but the city is nasty. A little further east on the coast is nice. Lots of wealth, gorgeous estates.

Trump: We spend more money per student than any other country. And our schools are terrible

Boy that’s one of my hot button issues. College costs are just not rational. There’s something corrupt there.

We have some areas here in MA that are dangerous; areas that you wouldn’t even want to drive through.

I think that the average salary of a public (grade school) schoolteacher in Boston is now $85,000. It’s a crime.

Think about THAT for a moment. ;0)

I’m reminded of the sorry comment by the community organizer in the Rainbow Hut-

You didn’t build that.

Oh yes he did!

At least not in a newer or nicer car ;-) I've probably driven through some of them. Most states have some areas like that. I have knack for finding them, by accident usually, sometimes because that's where the work is.
