Lincoln won after trailing after the first ballot & that didn’t turn out too badly. I’m not rallying around the current front runner, but I am never Hillary...
“Lincoln won after trailing after the first ballot & that didnt turn out too badly.”
What about the Civil War?

It turned out HORRIBLY
States rights were basically abolished, and slavery was going to end soon enough
He created an unnecessary civil war.
Family’s were destroyed and America was almost destroyed.
The South was decimated financially.
And we are still feeling the effects of Lincolns decisions.
There were no primary elections in 1860. Apples and oranges.
Even Ford v Reagan 1976 is a poor comparison. Ford having a small lead, but short of the majority prevailed on the first ballot with uncommitted delegates.
Cruz is in unchartered, destructive territory.
Different time, closer delegate count, and Ted Cruz is no Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was called "Honest Abe". Ted Cruz doesn't seem to such a moniker.
Also, perhaps you recall what happened to the Union after Lincoln became President?
It's telling that you have to go back over 160 years to cite an example of what Ted Cruz is trying to do.
Ted Cruz getting the GOP nomination, after limping into the campaign with 700 delegates or so, at best, would result in a Civil War that would splinter the party, destroy voter enthusiasm, countless Trump voters would stay home, and Hillary would win in a landslide in November.
Is that really what you want?
Vote Trump
19th century conventions are not relevant today. Many conventions went to multiple ballots in those days. It's not normal any longer, and no good can come of a deadlocked multi-ballot convention today. At this point, Trump is the last man standing with a chance.
>>Im not rallying around the current front runner...
You clearly state you will NOT rally around DJT, despite JR in this very thread saying his site WILL do EXACTLY that.
If you don’t wish to rally around DJT, please do as he asks:
TAKE IT ELSEWHERE.
Over 700,000 Citizens went to their death with that vote and you say it didn't turn out too badly?
