Donald Trump Jr: Ted Cruz Has To Bribe Delegates To Win
CNN ^ | APRIL 24

Posted on 04/24/2016 8:38:39 AM PDT by Helicondelta

Donald Trump Jr. said that the only way Texas Sen. Ted Cruz can convince delegates to support him over his father is with bribery.

"Ted Cruz has no chance of winning this without bribing the delegates. That's his game at this point," the son of the real estate mogul told CNN's Jake Tapper in a CNN "State of the Union" interview that aired Sunday.

Trump Jr. said if his father wanted to bribe delegates he could -- and do it very well.

"He could send his private plane and send them down to Doral, they could play golf for a week and then we win that delegate. That's not the way this country should be run," Trump Jr. said.

OK. So we should leave Hill and Bill alone for running the Clinton Foundation as an Access for Hire derivative?

That is a level of corruption way way above the typical protection racket that politicians run. They aren't just taking money from businesses in exchange for promises not to destroy them (which accounts for businesses donating to campaigns of both parties). They are taking money from special interests that have a vested interest in changing the country to something resembling a third world dictatorship.

As I already said, I think the system is corrupt, and in a perfect world, big businesses would not feel compelled to "donate" to politicians in order to buy their forbearance. But we don't live in a perfect world, do we? So we have to be realists, and choose our battles carefully.

"Perfect is the enemy of good." What that means is that if you always hold out, you refuse to support anyone who isn't perfect, then you basically hand victory over to someone who doesn't share your ideals at all and is likely to work against you. I'll take good, I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for perfect.

“So you are saying that Cruz, by his own admission, was passing out money.”

LOL. That’s exactly what they are saying. In Cruzer land that’s all ok. He did win that voterless convention after all.

I would prefer that the person who won the most delegates by people voting be awarded the nomination.

Yeah, conflating Vermont with Canada probably.

Would have said BC Bud, but Canada has fallen behind US on that metric.

Frankly, besides tar sands and timber I can’t think of what would be iconic Canadian products — not a knock, just can’t think of ‘em.

Okay. You believe the burden of proof is on the accused and you believe a person is guilty until proven innocent.

That is what Cruz does. Why should I be required to have higher standards, than the 'face of God'?

Tuesday going to be ugly here, I don’t think so, the Cruzers will crawl in a hole.

They may want to come out to denigrate Trump, but by then they’ll know they’ll get zotted by Jim.

Who is doing a great job by popping off some of the worst already.

So no, Tuesdays going to be kind of quiet.

“Of course it is not a bribe at all”

LOL. Of course not! It was just food money for a starving delegate in a voterless convention that Cruz won. There is really nothing to see here. /s

It needn’t have been a crime. Maybe Cruz was paying off a bet. Suppose he bet somebody he could get more than 200 people to rally for him? He’d owe money on that bet, for sure.

And what’s this I keep reading about Cruz having 22 people at a Cruz rally? If it’s true, Ted bet someone he could muster 30. Fail.

Rome expected moral excellence in it leaders, specifically the attributes of honor and integrity. By his antics in several states, Cruz has exposed himself as a dishonorable fraud and liar. As such, he is well suited for the Senate w/the rest of that trash.

Not false.

False

Donald Trump made a career in real estate. He paid taxes. He made campaign contributions, notably to Hillary Clinton and Rafael Cruz, neither of whom he owns.

So, you believe Trump should now only focus attention on Hillary, as Cruz apparently is doing?

Isn’t Molson Canadian? They make a type of bacon as well, though it comes across more as ham.

First I’ve heard of fries with gravy. I’m not chomping at the bit to try it. Ketchup is the best French fry condiment, closely followed by sour cream.
