Your post reminded me of a Canadian slang post I read not long ago:

“[So and so] is a total hosehead. That knob should, like, take off, eh! That’d be beauty. Oh, all this week we got back bacon and Molsons for anyone manning the phone banks, so that’s beauty too. So, like vote for us, eh?”

You completely missed the point.

I was talking about the accusations of bribery. If someone wants to arge that Cruz is getting these delegates by selling out to the GOP-E, fine. Maybe they're just using him, whatever.

I'm just saying that there is no real evidence of actual bribery.

“Cruz always gets straight A’s; that means he stole all of the other A’s from me, ‘cause I could only get B’s and C’s! Bwaaaa!”

No not cottage cheese, I think they may originate from cheddar,I think they are collected from the initial cheese processing , cooked and slightly aged. They are kind of like squeaky when you chew them.poutine has kind of become a trendy thing in some US restaurants, but dressed up. The last time I had them,it was lobster poutine, lobster meat, sort of bernaise sauce, and fries.

‘One of those things you’d have to grow up with to like, I guess. Every place seems to have something like that.’

I think you’re right. I kept coming across an odd culinary reference in Agatha Christie books—beans on toast. Finally I decided to look it up.

Turns out...it’s beans on toast. Like you said, maybe something you’d have to grow up with, to find appealing.

What was hilarious, btw, is that it was an American ex-pat who listed the English recipe for Beans on Toast. After which, she tactfully suggested several ways to make it a more interesting and tasty dish. Lol.

Are you talking about cheese curds? They are very big here in Wisconsin, aka the “dairy state.”

I’m fine with the rules as they exist now, problem is when you have candidates who are mathematically eliminated staying in the race for the purpose of causing a contested convention, then we got problems.

If they were honorable people, they would admit defeat and drop out, but they are not honorable people. They are professional politicians, and I no longer have any use for those.

Cruz already said he was against a contested convention, and was for defeating Trump at the ballot box. Since he failed at that, he’s changed his tune.

I don’t respect that or him.

Now that lobster poutine sounds delectable—squeaky cheese and all. I won’t hold my breath for it to make it all the way down to GA, though. In this town, five words say ‘fine dining’: All You Can Eat Buffet.

;)

The existing rules that you are for, require a contested convention when a majority of delegates aren't reached.

No, I guess I don’t.

There are two or three hard core Cruz kill aiders left but after Tuesday night I have a feeling we won’t be hearing much out of them. Ted Cruz is going to start getting no so subtle calls to exit the race real soon.

Especially when you purposely prevent them from being reached by staying in when you can’t win.

Sorry, I’m not supporting a person who does this.

Cruz can go to Hell. So can John.

HI chris37, I hope you are well. I suppose this post isn’t directed at you singly, but at the statement you make about those behind dropping out.

I never encourage anyone to quit when losing is inevitable. Doing so “games” the system.

For example, consider the current NBA playoffs. Houston has no chance to beat Golden State, so they should just forfeit. Dallas should exit as OKC is clearly superior. Cleveland is going to defeat Detroit, so they should get out. Charlotte can’t hold a candle to Miami, so they should do the honorable thing and quit too.

The race in the Republican nomination is to 1237 actual votes cast. That doesn’t happen until the convention in Cleveland. It may be on the first ballot, and it may be on a subsequent one. But, like basketball, there is no firm decision until the clock has expired with a winner. If there isn’t a clear winner on the first ballot, there will be overtime.

Again, this isn’t to be critical towards you, just explaining my confusion about people “advising” others what to do. Trump has proven very adept at playing the delegate race. He will make decisions that he believes is in his best interest. I would never suggest “what” he should do. But I will certainly watch and form my opinions based on his words/deeds.

Thank you for your valued participation in this forum.

There’s too many 180’s to keep up with.

It's making my head spin.
