No we don't. That's absolute horse shit. For example, by the time a minority person is sent to prison they usually have a dozen or so prior offenses that they did some type of diversion for like probation or what have you and didn't do much or any time at all for. They get off over and over until they have a rap sheet as long as your arm. Ask any DA or prosecutor. The one's that do end up in prison are the one's who are habitual, career criminals and or murderers. We end up with more people in jail because we have more people committing multiple crimes
The solution for that is just to kill the ones who need killing.

Really? Do you have the slightest idea how hard it is to get convicted of a felony & sentenced to prison these days?
Everything gets pled down to a misdemeanor, judges place enormous pressure on defense attorneys to accept plea deals. Judges hate trying cases & there is no place to put criminals anyway.
So rather than build more prisons, would you prefer they move to your neighborhood?
Only because we no longer kill the ones that need killin'.
