Detectives from the Connecticut State Police Office of Counter Terrorism arrested one person after conducting an investigation into a threat against the Trump rally.

On April 23, at approximately 12:46 p.m., the United States Secret Service (USSS) contacted the Connecticut State Police Office of Counter Terrorism regarding a threat posted on Twitter threatening to "bomb" the Trump rally.

The Twitter post made reference to a bomb being detonated at the Trump rally in Waterbury. A second Twitter post warned the suspects friend to have his family members leave the rally so they wouldn’t be harmed. The Twitter posts, which were open to public view, came from the area of Ardsley Road in Waterbury. Through the course of the investigation detectives determined that the account was used solely by Sean Taylor Morkys.

State Police Counter Terrorism detectives, Waterbury Police Department detectives, and special agents from the USSS located Morkys at his residence in Waterbury where he was interviewed. The USSS determined that Morkys did not pose an immediate threat to any protectees or the public.

On April 23, 2016 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Morkys was taken into custody and transported to Troop A-Southbury where he was processed and released on bond pending his court date.

Arrested: Sean Taylor Morkys of Waterbury, CT
Charges: Threatening 1st, Inciting Injury to Person or Property, Breach of Peace 2nd
Court: Waterbury Superior Court on May 4, 2016
Bond: $25,000.00

My neighbors were there. Their daughter is my granddaughters best friend who spends a lot of time at my house. Here’s hoping the POS does enough time to convince him never to do this again.

I wouldn’t. I don’t think the resources exist.

“They want Trump murdered.”

Exactly. If this had been a bomb threatening Her Thighness, this kid would be chained in his cell crying for water.

that’s sad and scary and you are probably right.

I forgot the number of FBI agents needed to fully track every potential terrorist in the country. It was staggering.

They said it took 19 people to fully track one person.
