I don’t think Cruz is exactly out maneuvering Trump in these states. The establishment in these states is letting Cruz have his delegates as part of an attempt to stop Trump on a second ballot. I doubt Cruz is that strong in a place like Maine without the party bosses’ help. I’m sure the Maine GOP had not been planning to back Ted Cruz until a last minute plan.

It's a good point. What might be going on is this is the bush machine doing it's thing. I wouldn't be shocked if they try to hand it to Jeb.

Completely agree. Cruz is getting a bit more credit for abilities that he doesn’t have.
