I tried to pay my electric bill over the phone today as usual. Now in order to do that I must register my banking information in an on-line database along with a username and password. I called to find out WTF?
The federal government demanded this change according to the lady at the utility company. I was flabbergasted.
Something is going on and it ain't good.

I despise the central socialist government, as many here may recall; however, I have been paying my utility bills, and HOA fees automatically from my checking account for decades.
