To be fair to Cruz, he has an American passport, which means he had to prove his American citizenship. You don’t just walk into the passport office and get handed a passport. Cruz is/was a dual citizen, possibly he is also a citizen of Cuba.
The bigger question is WHY Cruz has sealed his birth records and other records! Why, if he has nothing to hide?
Both of his parents were Canadian citizens when he was born in Canada.
His parents put him down as Canadian when he was born.
Your first sentence is an assumption, second sentence is a big well duh.
Cruz must have gotten his passport after he renounced his Canadian citizenship a little less than 2 yrs ago.
