Exactly. Rush loved Trump in the beginning...because Trump took it to the MSM and called them out. Rush thought Trump's campaign would crash and burn. Rush is shocked that Trump has done so well.
The other thing I've noticed is I think Rush is truly jealous of Trump. Trump has quite a lifestyle...wonderful kids and family...billions of dollars....and a beautiful wife.
Hannity seems fine with Trump. Rush does not. It's not about beating the Hildabeast for Rush. He's just jealous of Trump...plain and simple.
I was told Rush was doubling down on Cruz even TODAY. I hope he enjoys whatever he was paid more than he enjoyed having us all as deep loving fans.

I think you are correct that Rush envies Trump. Trump has shown him up.
I think Rush fantasizes being president, but has an inferiority complex about being considered an entertainer.
Then he looks at Trump, the entertainer, and thinks, “I could have been that guy”.
