Trump is positioned quite brilliantly in this current scenario. Since Kelly went to Trump Tower two weeks ago she has not used her broadcast the same way. You can be guaranteed something along the lines of “I’ll wait and see what you do” was the parting essence behind the words of Donald Trump toward Ms. Kelly.
Kelly needs Trump far more than Trump needs Kelly. Trump holds the leverage. And now he’s guaranteed at least three more weeks, important weeks, during this election cycle when Megyn Kelly wouldn’t dare attack or disparage him – lest she fear he back out of the interview she needs, and he doesn’t.

I yearn for the day that I will be tired of winning with Trump. I am not very optimistic. I’m afraid that day will never come.

I am loathe to criticize Mr. Trump, but I don’t see a reason to give her any legitimacy after all that has transpired.
She tried to torpedo what I consider our last best chance to save the country without civil war or secession. All based on lies and half-truths.

Have you seen Mrs. Trump? Kelly has no leverage there either.
The date of the interview is in the future, past the remaining primaries. So to get the interview, Kelly must be nice to him for the rest of the primary season. By the time the interview airs, Trump will have won or lost already. So really he risks nothing and gains a well behaved Fox anchor.
