China's version of the Supreme Court ruled that gay marriage is illegal in that country

San Francisco has enjoyed deep cultural and economic ties with China for more than 150 years, including a long-standing Sister City relationship with Shanghai since 1979. More than 25 percent of the City’s population is of Chinese ancestry, and many San Francisco companies, including our leading legal, financial, architecture, engineering and technology firms, are already doing business in China. As China’s economy continues to mature, more and more Chinese companies are looking to establish North American headquarters and business operations, and equally important, San Francisco Bay Area companies can benefit by participating in one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. ChinaSF helps facilitate these opportunities.

Businesses that are not hostile to normalcy and the Constitution should stop serving SF and its residents.

Where are the HIV and AIDS drugs manufactured?

An embargo on those meds would turn S.F. into a ghost town overnight.

It’s none of SF’s business to tell what states companies there can do business with.

That’s blatantly unconstitutional.

You CANNOT restrict free commerce with another state because of their laws.

If that’s the case then North Carolina could pass a law the forces San Francisco to only do business with the KKK.

And, best of all...This will prevent gay San Franciscans from buying wedding cakes from North Carolina bakers!!!

For years, I have gone out of my way to avoid travel to Frisco (Friscans just HATE it when you call it that).

I haven't spent as much as a farthing there in many years.

How come they get to exercise their conscience, but the poor Christian baker or photographer can’t.

SF could ban business with firms in states hostile to LGBT rights
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | April 26, 2016 | Emily Green

I would imagine that this would be illegal and would not hold up under the U.S. Constitution. On the other hand if a Rat infested city wants to cut its own throat and lose money why not let them?
