That’s because the posters who say that, have never been anywhere, don’t know anyone from outside of their area, and are blinded by bias and hatred; sadly.

You are correct. I spent 40 years in NJ, and the true conservatives there are just as conservative as those I have lived among in Texas for the last 15 years. The trouble is that there are way less of us up there, percentage-wise.
The only CT folks Cruz knows are the Fairfield County hedge fund managers.
He is clueless about average folks who live here.
A lot of “OFF TO FLEE” signs as many headed South over the years.
And then some went to N.H. got wobbly and ruined that state.

As a New Jersey conservative I will agree. However Northeast republicans (not the same thing as conservatives) tend to be much more moderate than Southern republicans IMHO.
