it’s called “passion” now...at least by a certain apparent majority here on FR

Yes, I realize that. Talking about his face, his smile, etc.--all "passion." I'll vote for Trump in the general election because God forbid Hillary wins, but the saddest realization for me during primary season is that conservatism is waning in this country.

I used to believe Rush when he said that this was a majority center-right country, that most people live their lives with conservative values, and that if we only had a candidate who articulately stood for those values, we'd win in a landslide, but I see that that's not the case at all. To find out you've been looking at things all wrong is rather disconcerting.

My guess is it’s a VP pick or big name endorsement.

I'll wager at least 50% of his speech is devoted to rebutting Trump's foreign policy address.

Cruz by himself is not very newsworthy.

He will try something bold to get a handle on the News cycle. My bet—pick Carly as his VP pick (or someone else)? He should just drop out at this point in time and hunker down in the Senate—maybe try to do the job he was elected to do. He needs to do something controversial, exciting, and popular. He better some something—he’s getting shrill and ugly. The bandwagon effect is kicking in for Trump. He may well win every state that is left as people want to vote for a winner.

TPA, Coker, NAU, Goldman Sach right? That is a rock-rib conservative by what standard. Cruz is power mad, slimy, will do anything GOPe. He did once play a conservative however.

For goodness' sakes, like you couldn't lay a version of every single one of your complaints against Trump? This is what I mean. Irrationality has taken over.

This will give Rush something to talk about for 3 hours rather than Trumps resounding sweep last night. Trump won the votes in every county.

I still think Rush is right, the problem is with the people running who call themselves conservative really aren’t.
The first thing that must be conserved is the rule of law and the country.
Everybody but Trump is working for The Cheap Labor Express.

I agree with you on the Cheap Labor Express. I'm solidly behind Trump's stand on illegal immigration, and if all he does during his presidency is build a wall, I'll stand and cheer. But far more will go on during the next four years. At least one Supreme Court nomination, the continued leftist takeover of the culture, and so on. None of these things exist in isolation. They all stem from leftist ideology. But yeah, you're right on the Republicans willing to sell out this country for cheap labor.

If Trump was in the status-quo club, Cruz and Kasich would have dropped out before now.

The people can tell that their interests are not those of the R party, which is only interested in the perks and graft that comes with holding office.

. “Would anyone here have believed he’d be treated like this on FR just a year ago?”

I agree, would not have believed it.

This is the result of his campaign. He has only himself to blame.

Well the Mormon god is more wrong in its “prophecies” than correct...

Romney said he prayed to that same Mormon god and it told him to run berceuse he was going to be president too...

In 1844 the Mormon god told Joseph Smith to run because he was going to be president..

He didn’t make it to the election...the Judeo-Christian God killed him in June...

Now Cruz and Glenn Beck are accusing Christians that they are disobeying the Mormon god if they don’t vote for Cruz...

well if its so definite Cruz is going to be theocratic dictator err president why is Glenn Beck worried ???

Maybe its the bad track record that the Mormon god/gods have for “prophecy” ???

A year ago Cruz appeared to be a dignified, conservative Senator. Now he looks like a desperate spoiler. But he did do this to himself.

Maybe if your boy Rafael didn’t lie so much for as start ???

Last night there was a protestor duri9ng the Cruz speech..(or so Cruz said there was)

Then Cruz copies Trump in what Trump always says “Don’t hurt him” etc

Followed by “If this was a Trump rally Trump would tell his supporters to punch him”

What a lying jerk Cruz is...

so much for “conservative values”

Cruz is a liberal Democrat running in the GOPe race...

Ted has the same pathway that Kasich has to the nomination. Even you have that same pathway. It’s the pathway of being handed the nomination by the establishment even though you didn’t win it, or even come close to winning it.
