At Georgetown, the oldest Catholic and Jesuit institution of higher learning in the U.S., the official teachings of the church against homosexuality have been set aside. Wednesday is the occasion for a Lavender Graduation event, described as a special ceremony for LGBTQ and Ally undergraduate and graduate students, in order to acknowledge their achievements, contributions, and unique experiences at Georgetown University.
Before this eyebrow-raising event was set to occur, Georgetown University hosted Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, which is responsible for 40 percent of all reported abortions committed in the United States. How do you separate your faith from politics? Politics interacts with life in every way and you either live you faith or not, you either live as Christ instructed or not. Their is no separation of faith and politics. Period.
Catholics are so EASY! Bow to Allah!
There are too many Methodist congregations in my area, as well. There will be some closures or consolidations in the next few years.

Mark 12:17 - Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.
I will not render unto the modern day Ceasars that which conflicts with my deeply held spiritual beliefs. E.g. I will not and can not allow abortion to continue without my vehement opposition and it should be opposed from the pulpit as well. How do you ignore the threat of Islamic murder of Christians? Islam must be opposed by all people of faith in the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. No my good friend, we can no longer allow the Ceasars of this world to inflict their will on people of faith. It is time to stand our ground and fight against this assault on our beliefs. We must.
I have no problem with my preacher opposing abortion and other forms of murder in the pulpit. That is the 6th Commandment, not politics.
Send your kids to Christendom or Franciscan. Great schools.
