Let’s hope everyone that watches the talking heads on TV trying to pick apart his speech thinks “tightly clenched anus”.

No offense but you haven’t been paying attention. Clueless.

I wish I still had “broad” appeal.

He seemed to ad lib a bunch, then went off the teleprompter at one point and spoke from the heart.

If you say so.

You know it's perfectly OK that Trumps used a teleprompter, it didn't diminish him, didn't take his shine away, didn't make him look stupid or dumb... ...

If anything, it's a very positive thing since when making such an important speech, you don't want to screw up...and look foolish...

Trump is a deductive thinker - he begins with the goal and works back from there - no wasted motion - only what contributes to the result.
— Bill Mitchell (REAL) (@mitchellvii) March 21, 2016

Guys like Cruz are inductive thinkers. They are so obsessed with the ideological front end, the actual result is an afterthought.

BTTT

You are exactly correct. Trump did a masterful job and he went for Obama’s/Hillary's jugulars. Trump is going to get into Obama’s head. Hillary, beware, you will rue the day you thought Trump would be an easy mark.

“The problem now is that as Trump speaks off the cuff at upcoming rallies and interviews he’s bound to contradict what he said in the speech on one point or another. “

Bullshit. Trump’s foreign policy speech contained nothing that he hasn’t already said a hundred times before, so there’s no reason whatsoever for him to contradict himself.

Anyone thinking they can do dirty deeds in the corner or defy the will of the people better take notice. Those days are over.

Not really...

You might want to ask those democrats in extremely safe districts where badmouthing, demonizing a republican president (Trump), our military, our soldiers, our country is second nature to them...

Trump can't shut them up...

He’ll render them irrelevant. To a great extent he already has.

Only a year? Everything in Trump’s speech I’ve been saying the past 7 yrs. When Trump talks about defending Western Civilization and defeating radical Islam, I know he is the real deal.

'The one I like was this; If president Obama’s goal was to weaken America he could not have done a better job”.'

I caught that, too. I think he was hinting at the fact he believes that Obama is intentionally weakening America without saying it outright. I couldn't agree more.

I have generally been a Cruz supporter all along, though I was never opposed to Trump and have never understood why some feared that he was going to become the next Hitler or something equally crazy. If you just watched his one-on-one interviews, instead of focusing solely on his rally persona, it was obvious that he truly believes what he is saying and is genuinely concerned for the future of the country.

The events of the past few weeks have completely soured my opinion of Cruz. He is clearly now willing to do anything necessary to win, putting his personal ambition above the greater good. He's also making some extraordinarily dumb campaign decisions, causing me to question how smart he really is.

Add one more very enthusiastic rider on the Trump train!

It was a superb speech. After the past two weeks of blowout primary wins and now this lucid, sober, and inspiring view of the world and America's proper role in it, it's hard to see how anyone can say that Trump isn't the Republican nominee-in-waiting and likely President-in-waiting.

It's time for Cruz and Kasich to concede and start working towards party unity behind Trump for the general election.

Just saw some “expert” on CNN. He said the speech was incoherent, contradictory, and the product of a narcissistic personality. Truly! To their credit, they did have someone else on that was at least partially supportive.

None taken, but I certainly have been paying attention. What I observed for the bulk of this primary season from Trump has been an amateurish operation and a lot of bluster about building walls, asking our military to violate the Geneva convention, and whining about well established rules for delegate allocation. Not exactly presidential material.

This speech represents a step in the right direction. If he continues down this path, he may be competitive in the general. If not, we will have Trump to thank when President Hillary Clinton is naming the next few Supreme Court justices.

He better talk about building walls or he is toast. This is the main issue and key position that brought in all the early support. It is critical.

There is a very good chance the GOP will lose the majority in the Senate....

That makes Chuckie Scumbag majority leader...

I don’t think Trump will make him irrelevant....

You guys have rose colored glasses....

"There is a very good chance the GOP will lose the majority in the Senate...That makes Chuckie Scumbag majority leader..."

That is the Turtles fault. And along the way the last couple of years a couple of DNC fossils passed on and he had no action plan to snag those seats, ditto that Menendez and his fantasy island problems.

Their was a 3 seat margin he could have had. Useless as teets on a bull he is...
