The family, friends, and campaign workers of Ted Cruz must be utterly incredulous right now. They probably cannot believe their ears. He is disintegrating in front of us right now.
Had he gracefully disengaged he could have almost certainly secured a VP or SCOTUS slot by working with President Trump.
