“I dont understand the crude raving anger towards Cruz from Trump supporters.”
Then you haven’t been paying attention these last nine months.
Many (if not most) of us Trumpsters were Cruzers, early on. Unfortunately for Ted, many honest conservative voters are not so in thrall to any candidate, that we’re incapable of vetting our candidates on the fly, and re-adjusting our support according to new and previously unknown facts and observations about those who seek our votes.
Ted was welcomed with open arms by most conservatives when he entered the race. We would have followed wherever he led, had he proven himself to be a real leader, and had said and done the sort of things conservatives look for, throughout this race.
But he didn’t. Ted made far too many errors in the areas that really count. I’m talking areas that show a person’s character. You can’t fake that sort of thing, and I’m afraid Ted failed the test too many times for many of us.
Some months ago I looked at both Cruz and Trump as acceptable candidates, even though they are very different.
Cruz has run a horrific campaign since then and many of his supporters need someone to blame. Cruz has only himself to blame.
So they blame Trump and anyone who will vote for him.
There are people who sit out every election, it’s not important. 35% of the electorate always sits out.
This Neil guy thinks policy talk matters. He’s way out of the loop and has no clue what’s going on.

You got it, Windy.
We were all having a good time until the pissants decided to pick a fight.
And what exactly is their problem? Indelicacy?
I’m guessing the antagonists prefer the security of the Establishment.
