Sorry to hear you are taking your leave. Even as you signal your reasons (all pretty sensible) you are attacked. It is getting worse than liberals disagreeing with one another to bring their herd into line. Even now you are attacked with a great deal of venom.
While I’ll vote for Trump I won’t attack you personally as I’d wish for you to stay that WAS the beauty with this site, civilized discourse. Not anymore, something has changed and it isn’t the blah blah save the republic (evangelicals have been screaming the rapture has been coming for centuries) it’s something I have yet to figure out. I don’t agree with the article entirely but it does certainly raise a brow.

Jarhead, your temperate and reasoned response stands out on this thread so full of vitriol and hate for a fellow Freeper who just happens to disagree, and who respectfully and sadly informed Jim of his decision. I too will vote for Trump but it is only with a sense of resignation, and with a great deal of trepidation, because I have no faith in him or what he has said he will do. I too miss the civilized discourse, this is unlike anything I have seen in my years here and it is heartbreaking to see the venom and hate directed to our own, the gleeful posting of lists of banned Freepers. it’s just sickening. If you ever figure out exactly what happened to poison this site, please ping me to it.
For the record, Cruz' naming his VP pick smacked of desperation. I'm still with Ted, at least until Trump reaches 1237.

Just my opinion, but Trump supporters would be well advised to focus on unifying the party, versus savaging Kasich and Trump supporters.
Here's my personal perspective as a guide: I was awarded a 4 year ROTC scholarship. Two days after I told a few "friends", I spent my last two months on campus as an outcast, enduring the same colorful language used by Freepers for Trump. I teacher I respected told me to my face how "disappointed" he was with my decision.
Upon graduation, I shook the dust off my feet, and have never returned. I see the same thing happening with longtime Freepers who have been banned from this site.
When the election is over, are these rabid Trump supporters going to hang around? The answer to that question will either lead to FR's epitaph, or to its continued success. I fear the former, and hope for the latter.
