I doubt there is any conspiracy. I think he is simply still trying and hoping for a miracle.

(It cracked me up to see Cruzers suggest that winning winner-take-all states is somehow akin to the kind of shenanigans that Cruz has been doing in Colorado, etc.)

I know. The intellectual somersaults are just laughable...

So he just needs 42.19% of the remaining delegates, thanks.

I heard Mark Levin engage in that last night. A caller brought it up but Levin jumped on it. Then they went on a brownshirt rant about Trump's supporters. Levin has lost his mind. The only thing that threw cold water on him was when the caller said electing Trump would result in a fascist dictatorship and Levin said "well, I don't think it would be a fascist dictatorship".

But seriously, Trump steals elections by getting the most votes in winner-take-all primaries and that makes him a Nazi? He asks his supporters to come to the convention and that means he has an army of brownshirt thugs? Levin sounds like a hard core lefty when he tosses that stuff around. He's unlistenable at this point.

All the news keep saying Trump won’t hit 1237, but with the remaining states that are “winner-take-all”, I think he will get it. The trend seems to be that Trump will take California and that will get him there with only a few more small states.

He wasn’t my first choice, but the writing is on the wall that is going to be the guy for the Republican party.

Just like the shock that is awaiting some Trumpsters. Make no mistake: it’s coming. That said, Trump is by far the best choice to beat Hillary. Even though I voted for Cruz, I’m rooting for Trump at this point. He the only horse in the race that has a chance to beat the old grey mare. But I’m not deceived as to what I am rooting for.

You obviously haven’t looked at Trumps track record.

He has a record going back decades, and an overriding principle of his is very simple “keep the promises made during the sale”.

He repeated the importance of that again yesterday during his international speech.

So figure Trump will get at least 40 delegates in New Jersey, if not all 51.

New Jersey is winner take all, so count all 51.

Ted Cruz can’t get the committed support of anyone aside from the following of people who have donated time and money and now, like cult members, can’t come to grips with the fact that they threw in with a charlatan and just move on. They’ve all put on their Nike’s and are just waiting for the comet to arrive, at this point.

He is no Reagan. He has no coalition. His campaign manager has put together a bought-and-paid-for Super PAC “ground game” that did a good job at strong-arming the caucus process, but Cruz has lost countless times where the people actually have a voice and can vote in a primary.

He is done. He has no hope of winning. He is mathematically eliminated. He’s going to end up with half or less of the first-round delegates as Trump going into the convention. The contested convention that the media has been hyping is unlikely to actually happen, but even if it did, Cruz and Kasich both have no hope of winning. All that scenario would ensure would be that Paul Ryan would descend from the mountaintop to fulfill his destiny as establishment savior.

Cruz and Kasich are GOPe stooges who are doing the bidding of the globalists. At this point, their only goal is to weaken and damage Trump going into the general in order to ensure that the remaining globalist, Hillary, gets elected. It is all very transparent and obvious, and should royally piss off all freedom and nation-loving American who is tired of the business-as-usual treatment and abuse of average citizens.

Enough is enough. Cruz and Kasich need to be treated like the afterthought globalist tools and also-rans that they always have been.

Ah, I tuned in to hear the end if that call when he suggested the fascist dictatorship thing. Now I know more about it.

I don't mind listening to hosts that I disagree with if they provide something of value...but Levins show seems to have nothing more to offer right now than being a safe zone for antitrump bitterness.

I agree. There is much drama and conspiracies thrown about in regard to this, but really, Cruz only has two choices:

1) Bow out gracefully - in doing so he preserves his reputation and lives to fight another day, but I perceive that he really only ran for Senate to use as a stepping stone to be President and it is very hard for him to take that he has been schlonged by Donald Trump thus far. It’s something he hadn’t planned for and he is having a hard time coming to that realization.

2) Fight to the end - not necessarily a bad strategy. Cruz is young. If he is able to repair his reputation, he may be looked at as a “fighter” that did not give up, even when it there was really no hope. What he needs to do in this regard is fight the good fight and take it all the way to the end, and if he does not prevail, bury the hatchet, congratulate the winner and come out in full-throated support of the nominee (more than likely Trump). He may be able to salvage his career then. If he goes on a scorched earth mission and carries that back to the Senate, he’s done and he would squander what could be a long and brilliant career either running for President again, or perhaps a SCOTUS appointment which, in my opinion, is the best place for him.

Bottom line, sometimes it’s just not in the cards, the stars align against you, and you lose, no matter how prepared and ready you thought you were. Perhaps this is supposed to be a learning experience for Ted for the future. Most people take failure very hard, but the really good ones examine it and see ways to improve and come out even more successful in the future.

Do you seriously think that even if he walks in to the convention with 1300+ delegates the GOPe won’t try to steal the nomination???

That's why he needs to go for every delegate he can get, and not allow himself to get complacent once he passes 1237.

The GOPE will cheat and scheme to not allow Trump the nomination.

Cruz and the Republican Establishment will fight him for every one.

In case you missed it, the GOPe have abandoned Cruz and have reverted to their previous backstabbing tactic. They will now jump on the Trump Train in order to save the party. It’s all about the party to them … nothing else.

New Jersey is winner take all, so count all 51.

Yes, but that often breaks down by statewide and congressional district, so the trailing candidates can pick off a delegate or 2 here and there, under some conditions.

When Donald Trump wins Indiana on Tuesday, it'll be a yuge confirmation of his unstoppable momentum.

Vote Trump
