Thursday on CNN’s “Wolf,” while discussing Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s statement that “We have to be unpredictable” to our enemies during his foreign policy speech yesterday, former governor of Florida Jeb Bush said, “The idea that a president should be unpredictable is not really the way history has been written.”

When dealing with an enemy that poses an existential threat to the United States of America, they should be TOTALLY unable to predict our moves. Neither by intelligence efforts on their part, nor by someone on our side telegraphing our every move.
Even in concluding deals of any diplomatic nature, our full range of potential responses should not be laid out on the table. There must always be the option of walking away, and leaving the opposite number wondering, “What now?” Let THEM be the ones to make the offer, but not for us to reveal what we are willing to give up to resume negotiations.
I might be crazy but if our security depends on the president being unpredictable then so be it. I don’t want the terrorists HERE and over there to know what he’s (I refuse to say “she”) doing or going to do to undermind their plans and destroy them. Go Trump!!!

Every great military strategy is based on the enemy having utterly no clue what you’ll do, next.

Jeb...we had better be darned well sure our enemies do not find us predictable...particularly in war.
Trump was talking about ISIS and those who are adversarial to this nation.
The liberals...and our enemies...felt Reagan was a maverick and a cowboy and did not think they could tell exactly what he would do.
Reagan used that as a strength and crafted a policy that brought down the Soviet Union.
Trump is capable of doing similar things from the position of strength he will establish.
This is the new mentality. Time and events will never be repeated because everyone is to smart to let it happen.
They don’t have a damn clue about morality and law that keeps us doing the right things to propagate a better life.
