Scariest thing I've seen this election.

Sure, I'd grudgingly accept deficit spending to immediately enforce the immigration laws. Other than that any budgets have to be aimed at cutting the debt.

Icahn: Republicans don’t understand economics and it’s killing the country

You have got to be some sort of fool if you think you can keep the country floating on Printing Presses.

It’s true. We don’t. We don’t know how to sustain debts eternally without them eventually swallowing up the income of the country.

We are stupid that way.

I guess Icahn lost a s**tload on his AAPL and has to take it out on someone. #unimpressed.

Yet they still understand much better than the Dems.

I'd grudgingly accept deficit spending to immediately enforce the immigration laws.

Yes! And we'd see immediate savings.

Icahn an admirer of Krugman and Trump an admirer of Icahn and talks of making Icahn the Treasury Secretary. Wonderful.

With over $2.7 Trillion on imports each year, a 20% across the board import tariff balances the budget tomorrow.

And this is the guy Trump said he’s going to appoint as his chief negotiator?

This is why businessmen are not usually good at running economies. They love to try to control the economy through central planning, obsessed with playing with other people’s money.

“markets will have a “day of reckoning” without fiscal stimulus”

The markets will have a day of reckoning even without stimulus. That’s as inevitable as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. All a stimulus will do is postpone the reckoning, make the eventual correction even more drastic, and line the pockets of brokers and those few investors smart enough to take their profits out before the crash.

And this feckless fool on the hill along with his rabid socialist friends Harry Reid, Nancy "Tight Face" Pelosi, Hillary "Canckles" Hildabeast, and Bernie the fool Sanders do? Pure unadulterated crap, and I thought Ichan was a capitalist. Take your billions, have a good steak, and STFU Carl, you are not making any friends on the right side of the isle.

What and Democrats do?

Neither party understands economics.

Trump is the only one who gets it. And Trump did go to the Wharton School of Finance so I’m not surprised that he gets it.

We’ve long since passed the point that priming the pump is now just economic jacking off.

I think if you asked Icahn how fast he would close the doors on the EPA, HUD, the Dept. of Education, etc., you would get a different answer......

“...Icahn, who Trump had previously suggested could serve as his Treasury secretary, warned that markets will have a “day of reckoning” without fiscal stimulus, and argued that the U.S. government “certainly could do more spending.”

Oh, great. Is this what Deceitful Don meant when he said “I’ll surround myself with the best people”? A continuation of Obummer’s economic policies?

Yeah, one more case of QE stimulus booze will help the alcoholic.

Right before he cleans up for good, and this time he really means it.

Lots of different interpretations on this single article. Proper spending under proper supervision, with a proper goal, is much better than Obama’s way of throwing trillions out there to exacerbate the problem. No telling how many billions have enriched him and his minions in the mix.

Other than that any budgets have to be aimed at cutting the debt.

How about defunding the left by eliminating whole government departments?
