Yes, but Portland is so full of Democrats that they don’t count in the Primary. Trump will win the Republican vote in Oregon. Trump will lose the state in November.

I keep hoping my home state (Oregon) will turn back to a Republican state, but too many Californians moved up, so it’s a Dem state now. :-(

Yep, Californians and redistricting. The Democrats have basically taken over and use their power like a blunt instrument.

Don’t be too sure. I think there’s something phenomenal going on here. I look at the contrast between Trump and Hillary and this could be completely different from anything we’ve seen in a long time. Trump has already gotten more total votes than Romney did in all 2012. A lot of those are new voters. You’ll see a lot of people who would never vote for a Republican politician will choose Donald over harsh, Crooked Hillary.

The primary election is for Republicans to determine which candidate best represents their interests. Whether a candidate has a chance of winning the state in the general election is largely irrelevant IMO and what’s more, the RNC has designed the system to increase and decrease the delegate influence of states based on how Republican they are so it all works out. That we have come to a point where California and Oregon even matter is what makes this the most interesting election I have ever seen. But here we are so California and Oregon get to decide our fate.

Not necessarily. Oregon is not as liberal as WA or CA and has an independent bent. Oregon is winnable.

Pray America wakes

“...Trump will lose the state in November...”

Not necessarily. Trump won’t lose New York either. Hillary is not liked by many - hence the Sanders phenomenon, and people are actually looking for solutions this election cycle.

Somebody call Rogue Warrior Dick Marcinko. Doesn't he live in Oregon? Rogue River or someplace like that? Maybe he can organize the Vets to do some campaigning.

It’s a “dem state” because of Multnomah County and nothing else. 90% of the land area where people also live is conservative. Same way in Washington State, where the liberals control King County and Seattle. Get away from the Seattle area and rest of the state is reliably republican, especially east of the Cascades. It’s a shame that one little area of a state can determine the politics for the rest of the state.

with so many NYers and CA people heading to other states, Trump should address it.

He should say “why are you voting for all the bad things you left behind?”

Big surprise intense support amongst independents for both trump and Sanders. Hillary is not liked by her own constituency in Oregon.
