Why would anyone support a guy who has bashed republicans his whole life and during his entire campaign and supported democrats and their policies for the past 30+ years just because he now throws out juicy red meat talking points?
Because Pence is owned by the establishment.
He wimped out on supporting religious liberty last year, if you recall.

I read somewhere where GOP big donors are hammering Pence to endorse Cruz. Part of the #NeverTrump crowd.
I would guess he has received significant pressure from party bosses.
