Yes it means something. It means that Cruz will not even get a chance for a 2nd ballot (which he would lose anyway).
Check the recent headlines. Even many in the GOPestablishment are consigning themselves to the likelihood that Trump will get the nomination. Those who like to be close to power are starting to sidle up to Trump. That will only increase as Trump adds more delegates.
