It's a well-worn (if not-entirely-agreed-upon) idea that college makes people more liberal. But a new report adds a twist to this: the most educated Americans have grown increasingly liberal over the last couple of decades.
A report from the Pew Research Center finds a wide partisan gap between highly educated and non-highly-educated Americans. Not only that, but the share of college grads and post-graduates who are "consistently liberal" (based on their answers to a series of policy questions) has grown sharply in the last 20 years.
In 1994, 7 percent of post-grads were "consistently liberal," and 1 percent of people with high school educations or less were — not much of a difference. Today, the gap is 25 points wide — 31 percent of people with post-grad educations are consistently liberal, compared to 5 percent of those with high school educations or less.
The same kind of change just hasn't happened on the conservative side.
Split it out by party, and the shift is even starker. Among the post-grad set, more than half of Democrats and Democratic-leaners today are "consistently liberal," up from fewer than one-in-five in 1994. Likewise, among college grads, it jumped from 12 to 47.

Do not confuse education with intelligence.
Because “highly educated” now means you got a full 16 years of trained ignorance and socialist indoctrination behind you.
Colleges and universities have become Marxist indoctrination centers.
Becoming a liberal is essentially going soft. It means never having to make hard choices. A life of ease tends to promote weakness in will and in critical thinking.
I’m highly educated - two college degrees - and get more conservative every day.
It is no longer education, but indoctrination.
A prime reason why I went for a Diploma in a trade instead of an all out degree.
Becoming “highly educated” simply means the teachers have had more time to indoctrinate the sheeple.
People also forget the ‘cool’ factor associated with leftism. It’s cool to be left and it’s also virtue-signaling when you’re really rich and ‘well-educated’ to identify with the poor and ‘dispossessed.’
To be on the right is to be an old-foggy. And who cares if being cool you destroy everything you take for granted?
It’s all they know. They do not learn any information that contradicts what they learn.
The colleges have become liberal indoctrination centers for the youth. The infusion of veterans makes for some conservatives but the majority of students are mind numbed robots. I thought the colleges were biased thirty five years ago. I cannot begin to estimate their liberal bias today.

NPR can’t get anymore liberal.
NPR also couldn’t make money if it’s life depended on it.
NPR claims that liberals such as themselves are so much more intelligent.
Yet can’t run a radio network without millions from the government.
I would like to see a breakout by academic specialty.
Thanks to liberals, a good portion of present day degrees are not even close to “higher education”.
And sorry, but political science, sociology, the studies, English (to name a few) pretty much indicate throwing one’s money into the street.
Add public schools to your list. That’s where it really starts.

Propaganda is a wondrous thing.
Most schools only teach leftist talking points. Many students graduate without ever hearing a point of view that is different. If someone expresses a point of view that is different, the student is likely to run to his safe space and demand that the school administration and police protect him from hearing a challenging view. A bunch of Stalinist children.
