G-d bless you and your dog.

When I was recovering from surgery, I spent a few weeks in a recovery hospital, and while I was in with the short-timers, the vast majority of the people there in really bad emotional shape, feeling abandoned, lost, and completely alone and unloved. And that feeling was contagious. My way of dealing with it was to try and help other people there, because otherwise I was afraid I’d fall into the same frame of mind.

The one thing that brightened up everyones moods were visits from therapy dogs. The dogs seemed to know who needed them the most, and tended to let me scratch them on the head for a few moments. Normally, dogs love me, but I guess they realized I didn’t need them as much as others.

Thank you Mark, I knew that there were therapy dogs all over the country. Our group has 350+ members and is growing all the time. We have groups that visit facilities all over the greater Houston area. We are constantly called to visit new places and folks seem to love us, most folks anyway, there are a few who don’t but we ignore them. LOL!
