Hi Kathy.
I was just in Arlington National Cemetery a week ago, and we went past Gen. Wood’s grave. It’s in a very nice spot up on the hill, about 200 yards from the Tomb of the Unknowns.
I was in D. C. as Unit Advisor with our local high school’s “We The People” Team for National Competition. I’m very glad we had Arlington on our sight-seeing trip. One of the kids in my unit has an uncle buried there. All the kids on the team laid a carnation on his grave.
Thanks, galz, for another wonderful story of a great American hero! I remember his name because of the army post named for him near St. Louis.
