Let me guess, in addition to bringing in the illegals, the company would probably want the town to pay for all sorts of infrastructure to accommodate for the new plant and that certainly would be no guarantee against the company pulling up stakes and shutting down the whole thing in five or ten years?
Precisely. This situation is exactly why we in Omaha are mad as hell for another company pulling up stakes...we bulldozed part of the Old Market and did all kinds of stuff I’m sure never even made the news, now it all means bupkis and off goes another part of our economy.
This town is smart. They’re looking at the long game and remembering TANSTAAFL and learning from the mistakes of others.
