I am shocked at how much this race feels like a “professional” wrestling match. Cruz feels so much like the evil wrestler at this point. The designated villain always cheats, says obnoxious stuff, is just plain evil, and gets in some good knocks, but he always loses in the end and the people love it. Maybe we owe Cruz something, a lot of people in this country love professional wrestling and maybe those people are taking a real interest this time around partially because Cruz is such a great villain.
The reason he fell so quickly is that he unknowingly categorized himself as an “establishment” candidate by 1) using establishment tactics by grabbing these delegates behind closed doors and 2) the establishment tactic of colluding with Kasich.
