In the 1920s and 1930s, blacks moved to the big cities from the miserable crapholes that the Democrats created for them in the South.
True, but if IIRC, the vast majority of blacks migrated from the south after WWII, looking for jobs.

The so-called Great Migration actually started around 1916, when blacks in the South moved north in search of jobs created during the run-up to our entry into WWII. It continued through 1960, at least, and some writers put the end date as 1970.
