Perhaps God did wanted for Cruz to run in order to help Christians to open their eyes that just because someone claims to be a Christian is not.
I know personally people who claim to be Christians were rude to my family, but the people who were not Christians behaved more like Christ like. You can guess which side I prefer.
Yes, Cruz (and his father) has probably done more harm than good as far as bringing people to Christ.
I just want to add that it took me 47 years to meet and get close enough to a true Christian family to actually experience what real Christians are like. It’s a level of beauty not seen in others. Christ was very clear in the New Testament about who is and isn’t a Christian. And the consequences for those who die without Christ are not good.
I would hope everyone would strive to be more Christ like in their daily walk. Unfortunately we seem to be headed in another direction. And again, Ted Cruz has not helped one bit. As least in my opinion. (which is also why he has fallen like he has-no one likes a phony)
