Time to be conciliatory and welcoming, not to gloat. What is done is done, and we who have supported Trump need to extend our hands to our worthy and mostly like-minded opponents. It is not time to moon them.

to all the sincere Ted Cruz supporters : It’s been a rough time for you all . My condolences for the suspension of your candidates campaign . I for one think it’s time to bury the hatchet ( and not in one another’s back!) , so smoke the peace pipe , to face the reality that the REAL ENEMY is Hillary Clinton , Barack Obama and all the damn Democrats and their street rioting minions . The enemy is not Cruz of Trump supporters .
Let’s put away this crazy talk of NOT VOTING for Trump under any circumstances . We simply cannot let Hillary Clinton win . To do so would be an overtly anti-American act .
Let’s link up , lock and load and take America back . the America we all know and love . And NOT the America of these insane street punks , with their Mexican flags and hate signs . It’s time to take names and kick some ass . Politically speaking ;^)
Are you with me ? Get on board

I'll admit it's a distant bridge, but I gave Senator Cruz a few hundred dollars and he eventually fell out of my favor (Colorado and Arizona). He has a judicial temperament, not a legislative one. Perhaps a Circuit Court.

The scary thing is, I think that Hillary Clinton is easier to beat than Bernie Sanders, look around, see the young people, how they embrace Communism, Id rather see Trump go after Clinton than take a chance that Bernie Sanders might become President

Watch as Trump snatches him up into his fold. Never happen.

My condolences to the Cruz supporters on FR. I know full well that this is difficult for you all.

Well said, after watching your posts, I would expect nothing less. Thank you.

He needs a little chastening, then Trump can name him for a post.

Nicely said. I hope FR will give up gloating on Cruz supporters tonight. Hillary and Bernie taste better completely barbecued, anyway.

That may not work. Sen. Cruz can still be an excellent point man in the U.S. Senate, and can also help keep the Donald on the straight and narrow on the right (big government and social conservatism) flank to avoid a 2020 challenge. I hope that Trump's performance as president will be a great conservative success and that no such challenge will be necessary.

He needs a little chastening, then Trump can name him for a post. Why would Cruz want it? He's still got his senate seat.

I was a Rubio supporter, so you’re really not talking to me LeoWindhorse.
In answer to your ending question though, it really depends on Donald Trump. He’s sp[ent six months calling Ted Cruz a liar. Now you want to bury the hatchet? Don’t you think that will take some outreach from Trump? Today he said Cruz’s dad may have been involved with Lee Harvey Oswalt. You’re going to want to borrow Kasich’s Ohio organization. How do you make up for the he’s disgusting comments.
Can Trump bring the party back together? Really it’s up to Mr Trump. HE won by being vulgar. Can he make up from that or does he even care? It will be up to him.

I hope you are right.
Now that it’s over, I think Trump people might give Cruz kudos for going down punching. A Trump administration could use that strength . . . but he’s got to do what GHWB did when he joined with Reagan and converted to pro-life. Cruz has to disavow TPP and drink the America-First Kool-Aid (tariffs, a break with the Bush doctrine on interventionism).

Young people aren't embracing Communism. I understand why people might think that, but that's not why they like Bernie. Some of what they like is European-style socialism (e.g. ‘free’ college), but if you proposed real Communism to them they would not be onboard. We're talking about a generation of kids who grew up taking selfies, and having personal Facebook pages, etc. It's also a generation used to seeing and accepting the extravagant lifestyles of Rap ‘musicians’ and other entertainers. This is not a generation that wants to meld into a faceless nameless Commune.
