I really believe this, too. I'm certain that Trump entered this thing almost on a lark, with no intention of getting too far. It would explain his lack of preparedness on many of the issues. But then it took off, and I'm sure he was surprised and said: "Well, looky what happened here!"

I read an insider report that Trump planned this from 2012, and told a close friend Quote “I am going to suck all the air from the room, and then run the table”. And that is exactly what he did.

This is true. What's funny though is if Trump had fizzled out early, or just given up, I but all the Trumpettes (all former Cruzers) would have been lauding Ted on his delegate strategy and beating the GOPe. Instead of him stealing the election, they would've been ecstatic that he beat them at their own game!
