A state that Rubio LOST during the primaries... Rubios stock has fallen greatly since he first was elected to office. In a year when the electorate on both sides of the aisle are clearly against the establishment, Rubio would be a poor choice. Kasich would be a better choice that Rubio, at least Kasich has proven he can carry his home state.
Rubio won South Florida. I’m no fan of Rubio but if he can help Trump take Florida that will go a long way to winning the general. Without FL it’s going to be real tough for Trump to win, IMO.

Small ball, if you pick your VP because it simply “might help you in one state” you have lost. This Rovian view of elections has to end. You don’t concede half the map and then pray your GOTV will win you enough of 5 or 10 states to win.
Stupid small ball, and it worked to give us Bush in 2000, but it was just an approach of managing the decline.
Republicans need to be growing, and finally have a candidate who can and is expanding the party, stop thinking small ball.
