I’m sorry your favorite candidate didn’t make it, but my big lesson this campaign was learning that labels box us in where the establishment elite want us. Here’s your “conservative” candidate. Even if the candidate believes in conservative ideals, or is the right religion, if he is owned by the establishment elite, he can’t govern according to the constitution. Example in point: George W Bush. I believe he believes in conservatism, and that his Christianity is genuine. But he was brought to politics by the globalist cheap labor cabal, and their interests are not those of the American people. Thus he did the bidding of who brung him, not according to his “conservative affiliation.”

I only say that in case it provides you some comfort. I am not trying to offend. A lot of FReepers, including me, started out all in for Cruz. I donated probably $200 to him which was a lot for me. But now with 20/20 hindsight I don’t believe he would have been free to govern according to the constitution like he says, nor has he as Senator.

Again, I’m sorry. I hope the country turns out better for all of us after the election, and that Hillary does not get the presidency she wants more than life itself.

Very, very well said! Like you I didn’t doubt Bush’s sincerity, and I was certainly captivated by Cruz and initially preferred him over Trump, but the longer the race went on, the more I saw Cruz adopting globalist (non conservative) positions, the more I became disenchanted. I don’t need another “conservative” President who creates more government (Dept. of Homeland Security) or is cool with an unsecured border and lopsided trade agreements.

I actually voted for Trump in Florida, but was really on the fence. I wanted both. I just hope Trump can get the wall and jobs back. Those are 2 of the main reasons I voted for him. I liked Cruz because i believe he would put in a Conservative SC Justice. Not 100% about that with Trump. I just pray Trump can beat the lying cheating kill anything in her way Hitlery.
