Many people kept asking for an opinion on possibilities for a Trump VP, and/or discussion about a potential Trump VP. We’ve been very reluctant to even engage on the topic; and I still am. There is an almost exponential myriad of qualifications and needs given the current status of the presidential contest.
Candidate Donald Trump has mentioned he would prefer to bring on a partner who is familiar with legislative constructs and pathways. With little to go on, and accepting the choice will be intensely vetted by Donald Trump, here’s a gut sense about the “type of person” who might be considered. Each has pros and cons:
◊ Current U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions (AL)
♦ Former U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (SC)
◊ Current U.S. Representative Martha McSally (AZ)
◊ Current U.S. Representative Jim Jordan (OH)
♦ Current U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski (IN)
◊ Former U.S. Senator Scott Brown (MA now NH)
◊ Current U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (FL)
◊ Current U.S. Governor Susana Martinez (NM)
◊ Former U.S. Representative Col Allen West (FL)
◊ Current U.S. Senator Tim Scott (SC)
◊ Current U.S. Governor Scott Walker (WI)
◊ Current U.S. Senator Rand Paul (KY)
◊ Current U.S. Senator Mike Lee (UT)
◊ Current U.S. Governor Matt Bevin (KY)
◊ Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (GA)
◊ Current U.S. Governor Chris Christie (NJ)
This is not meant to be an all inclusive list, just a list of possibilities. You probably have a list of your own, or a preferred favorite.
Your thoughts?

Could you rephrase that please?
Condi? No way. Like it or not, she is associated with the Bush era which is not politically wise.

Trump’s own words:
“I’d be going for a political person, because I don’t need a business person, I need a political person. Somebody that can deal with the hill, that can deal with Congress, that can get things done and get things passed.”
He’s not looking for any geopolitical advantage. He needs someone to get his things done.
Again, he’s thinking outside of the typical VP political box.
He’s a frickn strategic ninja.

I prefer Judge Jeanine Pirro!

Martha McSally? That would be off the wall, but not a bad idea.

Senator Sessions would be my pick.
He knows who the Bullsh***ers are in Congress and is savvy enough to keep them from screwing President Trump.
He has no ambition beyond what is best for this Country.
He has been loyal and helpful to Trump from the beginning.
Sessions has wisdom.

Yes. I’ve read comments from her before that weren’t exactly warm towards him.
This was today. Haley and Portman, the other two, said no thanks.

I like Sessions, but it might be best to leave him in the Senate for now...
So, like you, I go for Allen West right away....

Chris Christie would be hell on wheels as AG, but would also be an incredible VP running mate; like Trump, Christie is quick, outspoken, plain-spoken, fearless with the press, and a charismatic speaker. Christie is a hellofva stump speaker.
Christie is actually more knowledgeable and thoughtful about the mechanics of government and would be a great balance for Trump. Plus Christie has had tremendous experience in extracting good works from a Dem controlled state legislature, and therefore could be an excellent Congressional whip, like LBJ was for Jack Kennedy.
Also, I believe given the nature of Trump and Christie, I expect they’d be a pretty simpatico pair.
