MSNBC's Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough has been accused -- often quite convincingly -- of being in the tank for Donald Trump. But the former Republican congressman said Thursday that unless Trump curbs his extreme views, he will not have Scarborough's vote.
Scarborough said Trump comes up short "on Latinos, women, on so many other things ... The convention offers him an opportunity -- will be the first time a lot of Americans have really looked at Donald Trump the candidate. We see this all the time. The vice presidential selection offers him an opportunity."
Scarborough also pointed out that Trump will need to start cutting back on his extreme rhetoric sooner rather than later. "I'm never going to vote for a guy who says they are going to ban somebody because of the god they worship. And he's got to have to make that turn fast. He didn't do it yesterday. Maybe he does it over the next couple of weeks," Scarborough said.
Many Republicans have said this week that they will not vote for Donald Trump, despite him being the presumptive nominee.

So vote for the rape enabling, influence peddling, job killing, soon to be indicted communist. You show us how it’s done, Joe.
He has to punch his MSNBC loyalty ticket. That statement definitely is a paycheck protection move.
Besides, how many people really care what he does/doesn’t do? Like the Bushes or Linda?
Trump has already done a great service for America. He’s pretty much eliminated the Bush family from national politics for the foreseeable future.
He now is poised to eliminate the Clintons as well.
Imagine getting rid of the Bushes and Clintons in just one election cycle?
Thank you Donald Trump.
I was just at a meeting last week of over 15-hundred citizens...the meetings theme was, “What Would Joe Scarborough Do?”.
The unanimous consensus was, “We don’t give a $h/+ what Joe Scarborough does!”
Nuff said!
Bye Felicia
Hopefully trump won’t wonder out loud what happened to your campaign staffer
Great minds
I’m sure Trump is worried now.
Doubt he’ll change much but have noticed Trump is wearing his cap less and less.
The cockroaches are coming out of the closet all over the place. No wonder the GOP was so screwed up. They are all over the place.
Well Joe, I never heard Trump say he would ban all people who worship the moon god Allah...So don't lie to us Joe...
He did say he would ban those people who have instruction manuals that instruct them to blow people up and cut their heads off especially if they are Americans, Christians or Jewish, until they could be vetted enough to know they don't take all of their instruction books seriously...
Besides Joe, it's not a religion, it's an ideology...
I found Jeb Bush unacceptable because his position demanding open borders for third world CHEAP LABOR countries was offensive. Jeb had nice ‘tone’ but few us will be sitting in DC drawing rooms to enjoy that - compared to the millions of us who would have to deal with illegals.
So I understand how Joe Scarborough feels.
I’m not sure if I ever could have gotten past Jeb’s Cheap Labor position to vote for Jeb.
My suggestion to Joe and his guests - who tend to hate Trump AND the people who back him - is to form their own party. Scarborough could call it Elites Who Are So Much Smarter Than Common Citizens. (EWASMSTCC) That has a nice ring to it.
EWASMSTCC could run Jeb for President, Kasich for Vice President. and Bill Crystal could head of the party. It’s a winning ticket for DC elites.
Go for it Joe... it’s a winner for your type.
Ant one that sits next to that slut Mika, for hours on end cant be trusted anyway so screw you Joe
You mean like enforcing our existing immigration laws and deporting illegal aliens? What about the millions of American citizens who are victims of criminal aliens or have their jobs taken and wages depressed by illegal aliens? This isn't about Latinos, it is about the Rule of Law.
C’mon, that is so unfair. Doesn’t everyone find their interns dead in their offices? Happens all the time to me.

This guy says something like this every election year. He trashed McCain and Romney. I think I see a pattern.
Joe mentioned the Syrian Muslim ban specifically, and he got Trump’s position on that wrong. Joe might have missed the exit polling on this question; nearly 70% of the GOP electorate supported it. That said, Trump has to concentrate on the jobs, the debt, our rotten trade deals and illegal immigration. I don’t think Whitewater and the Rose Law firm will get him anywhere.
It’s gone beyond never Trump. Now it’s “how fast can we find a third party candidate?”
Trump is saying 'Here is my agenda, if you like it or can live with it, come on board, otherwise I don't need you. Criticize it and me from the outside'.
That way you can decide for yourself, but he's not coming to run after you for your support.
It's an admirable stand, one which only a confident politician would take.
That's why Joe has never been confronted with it before.
Being “Politically correct” is more important than enforcing Federal laws to turds like Scarborough.
Make no mistake all the Globalist Republican and Democrat will vote for Hillary.
Did I miss something? I thought there was only one.
Well then we should just go ahead and cancel the election. There is no hope for Trump. He’s lost Joe’s vote. Oh the tragedy of it all. /sar
