As LawNewz.com reported on Wednesday evening, NBC News was the second major news network to announce an upcoming interview with the notorious Romanian hacker Marcel Lehel Lazar, better known by the name Guccifer.
Lazar, whose actions led to the exposure of Hillary Clintons use of a private email server, was extradited to the United States in March. He is alleged to have posted emails that were sent to then-Secretary of State Clinton on the internet, including correspondence from close Clinton family confidant Sidney Blumenthal. Lazar was extradited to the United States just as reports indicate that the FBI investigation into Clintons email server was in in full swing. Lazar is charged with wire fraud, cyberstalking, identify theft, unauthorized access to computers and obstruction of justice.
According to the NBC News press release, Lazar was interviewed by reporter Cynthia McFadden from a Bucharest prison, where he admitted to also hacking into Clintons private e-mail account

The ‘why’ is obvious. Everything NBC does and doesn’t do is suspect. I affirmatively avoid watching or listening to anything they broadcast.
Could be that nbc news is partisan and corrupt? Nah!
Because they are dishonest.
They lie shamelessly.
This is another lie by omission.
Because NBC is a prime example of the fifth-column leftist media.
Because they want Biden/warren
Because the media is the right arm of the progressive movement against the American people
Water ... carried ....
Fishing for information with the intention of giving it the Clinton first so she could coordinate a response and/or do damage control?
Because they are corrupt, dishonest journalists who will prostitute their profession for their own political beliefs. It is an ugly arrogance that their own petty politics supersedes their obligation to report timely and objective facts about our nation’s leaders. There is no democracy without a free press, which must also be adversarial - and that is what we do not have.
Pravda Award awaits them!
The alphabet press has been bought by George Soros, that is why shrillery’s e-mails being hacked was kept out of the news.
It is interesting that Guccifer was telling reporters this BEFORE he was extradited. I assume it was the DOJ that did the extradition. Just weird if true. Maybe Obama has already given the go ahead.
OK, where was the “RHETORICAL QUESTION ALERT” for this one?
American Press = Paid Democrat liars.
Wasn’t Brian Williams an NBC anchor? Honesty is their hallmark you know.
It’s no wonder that Hillary is getting away with her lame excuses. The Media needs to be hit square between the eyes with a 2x4 before they will do their jobs and report the occasional fact. The public can’t think critically because 35% are bought off and most people under 45 are victims of the public school systems. Ain’t democracy wonderful?
because they had to give the dems some time to figure a way to massage it.
OK, where was the RHETORICAL QUESTION ALERT for this one?
This sort of thing is nothing new.
Remember Monica Lewinsky? We learned after the fact, that the Washington Post and Newsweek magazine had the Monica Lewinsky story for months, but had decided not to run with the story. It was actually Drudge who got the ball rolling on the Lewinsky story and got it into the mainstream media.
I’m sure we can all think of other examples as well, where the media don’t go after Democrats who are involved in shady practices or wrongdoing.
Just as we can all think of examples in which the media overreact and have meltdowns over the mildest of transgressions committed by Republicans.
If they really don’t know why NBC sat on the story then I doubt anyone will be able to explain it to them
Same basic reason the LA Times has yet to release recordings it has of comments the enemy islamist soebarkah made at a pre-presidential event thrown by fellow islamist Rashid Khalidi.
