Trump Supporter Sen. Jeff Sessions: Paul Ryan Made “Big Mistake” Not Endorsing Trump (VIDEO)
Gateway Pundit ^ | 5/5/2016 | Jim Hoft

“ Sen. Jeff Sessions said Thursday night that House Speaker Paul Ryan made an error by saying he’s not ready to support Donald Trump yet, and said Ryan and other leaders need to realize the Republican Party is shifting under their feet.

“I think this was a big mistake, I really do,” the Alabama Republican said on Fox News. “And I’m very surprised, frankly, since he’d indicated he’d support whoever the nominee was.”

“The speaker of the House is a big leader, an important figure in the Republican Party,” he added. “He calls on House members every day to stand with him and unity, and he needs to set a good example for Republicans.”

Ryan shocked political observers by saying he wasn’t ready to endorse Trump, and Trump followed by saying he is “not ready to support Speaker Ryan’s agenda.” Despite the bluster, reports soon followed that the two are trying to arrange a meeting.

Alabama is not a swing state though. Trump needs to keep the electoral math in mind.

“Why wouldn’t Ryan support Trump? I see no downside to supporting the putative nominee of your party and a BIG downside if Trump ends up winning”

Same can be said about Rush, Levin, FOX, Brett Baier, Dana Perino

Jeff Sessions is one of the very few wise men in Washington.

And would be a tremendous Trump-agenda asset in the Senate, even if not Majority Leader. Perhaps choose a politician NOT from DC as his Veep?

Actually I think Ryan is sneaking around hoping to be called in in a contested convention. Remember how he “resisted” being drafted for Speaker? Then he went right along with Obama on the Omnibus Bill.......and has continued to show himself for the RINo he is. I hope and pray he is defeated for reelection. It will be good riddance to bad rubbish.

Heck! He couldn't even hold his own against an imbecile like the present VP. Can't even remember his name. Oh, Yes! Biden.

How will he be able to even have an intelligent conversation with Trump?

Paul Ryan and all GOPe are not only fine with losing the senate and. House, they resent us to no end for putting them there in the spotlight. Trump would not be where he is today if they’d been allowed, by we the voters, to stay in the sidelines whining about Obama not letting them get done the things we put them in for

They do not want to win the White House it is so obvious it’s ridiculous to not know it

Duncan Hunter from California. IMO you’d get two for the price of one. His father was a great leader and young Duncan is a chip off the old block and a combat Marine Vet to boot.

Not really. They are entertainers, they can't be voted out of office for going against the Man overwhelmingly chosen by their constituents for the Presidential nominee. Ryan can.

Ryan is a sell-out, pansy boy, muzzie beard, woosie. Oh, a dweeb, too.

Palin is not a consideration. I like Sarah Palin and I still do, but I’ve always been suspicious about her support for Donald Trump. It’s come across as insincere and perhaps coerced in some manner.

She would make a great cabinet position, EPA secretary perhaps.

Trumps VP list is getting shorter faster than he can vet them. Sessions might end up being the only one that will accept the VP spot for the what’s looking to be a blood bath come November. The Republican party has been betrayed at the highest levels of the party.

That is absolutely not what he said.

He said he wants a VP who has legislative experience to successfully navigate legislation through the congress. Palin does not fit that.

I like Ryan for the Walmart greeter job.
It’s where he needs to be.

There is a real possibility. He is definitely very high energy and has legislative experience and shares Trump’s values and is young enough to go 16 years.

He goes to the top of the pile.

That would be a good selection also, I think, but you know him better than I.

Again, I contend that, Lord willing, DJT can sweep the Nation in November equaling Reagan, regardless who is his (decent) running mate.

That is not how Trump has worded it.
He has consistently said he wants someone familiar with the DC process.

He could pick a bureaucrat with decades of behind the scenes experience in several departments.

Amen to your post. I think the establishment is upset that the electorate has thrown them aside - precisely because the establishment has repeatedly promised and failed to even TRY to deliver. Republican "conservatives" have aligned to support the agenda they promised to resist - all the while whining that they cannot stop anything because they do not have complete control.

It looks like many have decided that there will be no more establishment broken promises - pinning their hopes that Trump crashes the system, upsets the apple cart or resets the game board. When your "team" aligns with the enemy team, it's time to get yourself a new team.

Trump needs to be on his plane this weekend visiting Ryan's opponent Paul Nehlen. It will convey in no uncertain terms the cost of splitting allegiance on the revolution.
