Well Slim Jim, I'm 69 I can't remember if I've ever read here what your age is. Notwithstanding, we may see some things in a somewhat different way.

I have been a Republican Conservative since I came of age to vote...that would be 21, because allowing children to vote at 18 came after I had reached 21.

But now, things have changed for me. I have now come to the conclusion that Democrats, Liberals, Republicans and Conservatives have all come to stand for the same thing...getting and keeping money and power.

Public Servant, absurd. The people are the servants.

So my view is just that this country, with over $19,000,000,000,000 in debt and around $100,000,000,000,000 in unfunded liabilities will founder - crash - fail...choose your descriptor.

The positive thing about this is that the sooner the better because we can and will recover. (I would be happy to explain why that is so in a later post.)

Therefore my view is that Republican and Democrat are meaningless distinctions.

What comes after the Armageddon will have different factions.

Agreed. With age comes wisdom (only 57 here). There is no such animal as a public servant. It is a job like any other job except that when in that position you make money and power off others. I compare it in some cases to being a leech. These people get elected and are only in it for themselves and they actually in some way act like union leaders and some members do. They have their own union comprised of democrats and republicans and they do not like it when a guy like Trump rocks their boat. He has clearly now upset their boat and it has begun to sink and due to, “The People” that the politicians are supposed to follow, they in a panic. In time the Ryan will be forced to support Trump because if he does not he will never get reelected.

What I like most about Trump is that he is getting the support from republican, non-unionized, office type workers who are only now being awakened to the fact that their leaders have sold them down the road due to guest workers and people that are simply coming here and taking their jobs. Can you imagine your boss coming in and telling you to train your replacement or you are fired. Granted you get a severance package but who cares about that since you will lose your job, at say 50 years of age, no matter what you do, to somebody that is not even a citizen yet. These office workers are getting to feel what the union workers have been feeling for the past 40 plus years. I have seen it take place in Pittsburgh when the mills went down. In Detroit it happened at the car makers. Now in Indiana, Carrier is next. The political figures are selling out the country to the highest bidder and I can only guess at what they get to pocket in overseas bank accounts as they let this happen.

The days of an honest politician never really existed but today we have some real scum up there on the hill who would sell their mother for a nickel. I’ll take\ some abuse for the union comment but it is true and now the shoe is on the other foot with non-union office workers getting the axe and they showing it with the backlash at the present politicians.

I too, are the same age as you and my analyzation of ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS of any party or movement are “in it for themselves”...PERIOD!

Whether it be money, power, popularity, notoriety, fame....you name it...its for them...not us.

To gain this wonderful bounty, they will do and say anything and everything the gullible voters like in order to hold, advance and retain office. Many start out with good ideas and intentions but the longer they are in the political world the more corrupt they become.

Power = money. Money = Power. Money is bait...Politicians are fish. Fish have to eat bait or they will perish. The larger the fish, the more bait they have to have.

Consequently, career politicians will do anything (including...gasp...lying) to keep office. What they say is not what they do.

The corruption of government has encroached upon our lives to the extent that we cannot even purchase a toilet that works as originally designed.

Nothing will change until everything FLIPS...instead of us being afraid of the politicians, make them afraid of us.
