As a Trump supporter I have to say that I am not a big fan of the “worship or die a horrible death” mentality of many of my peers.
Less than a year ago we lived in a PC straight jacketed world where the RINOs ran the Republican Party and we were going to get Bush III shoved on us. It is a new BETTER world now because of one man, Trump. Even Reagan didn’t do as much.
How can Ryan be Chairman of the Convention and not support the nominee? It is a slap in the face to the voters, delegates, and the integrity of the process. At the very least, he should step down.
Maybe Ryan is thinking about teaming up with Romney again to run as a third party nominee.
Great post.

Read some of the comments from his cult.
Now I understand why so many Republicans stayed home rather than vote for the Romney/Ryan ticket in 2012!
Palin is about to get some payback for the backstabbing she got by Romney backers/staff in 2008!

When you are in a dog fight, you need to fight like a dog. Or else the other dog will kill you! This fight needs to be won. We have no time for pansy politics. The American people voting for a prize fighter. So you need to either join the fight or get out of the way.
Ryno Ryan needs to be removed as convention chairman if he can’t even support the candidate. I notice Paulie is hiding out this weekend what with all the incoming he’s taking.
I love that Palin has denounced the worthless little weasel.
I think Paul Ryan should focus his efforts on reducing federal spending and reducing the federal debt. He took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution which calls for limited government and it’s time for him to do his job in cutting out all the unconstitutional power overreaches. Until Trump gets 1237 (which he will almost certainly do on June 7) he should stay out of that fray. And besides I think he has a bigger worry on his mind right now - I.e. http://endingthefed.com/shock-poll-paul-ryan-losing-in-his-home-state.html. If he hadn’t been wasting his time being Obama’s lapdog to overstep the Constitution then I think he would’ve had nothing to worry about Nehlen.
Bring it to the scum traitor, Donald!! Either they fall in line, or they are eliminated!!
A teachable moment is coming to the GOP establishment.
The janitor would do just as well.
Yes, it is...Rapidly......
It will end with Ryan walking to the mics and endorsing Trump. But Trump will take Ryan out later, imo.

Exactly.... but the primary is August 9...The people themselves may very well handle it.
That's a somewhat clever turn-of-phrase. I almost feel like I've heard it before, recently. Where'd you get that?
OMG if Trump did endorse LYIN RYAN’s opponent HEADS WILL EXPLODE!!!! THAT would be the MOST AWSOME day of this ENTIRE election!!!! There is NO WAY these BASTARDS can a 3rd party candidate on the ballot in ALL 50 states, looks like THEY ARE SOOOOO SCREWED!!!!!
Seriously-—a guest at the convention. Her own booth. Nothing needs to be said. Let the young voters who weren’t around then ask, “Who is that? Who is Monica Lewinsky” and we’ll be glad to fill them in.
‘The people themselves may very well handle it.’
We can only hope. The Cantor loss scared them briefly, but a Ryan defeat would put a deeper, more lasting fear into them.
The battle between Trump and Ryan has progressed further than that. Maybe Palin is running on her own here, but something makes me think Trump was asked or apprised in advance. Notice her use of "we" below.
That said, I do agree, Ryan has little choice at the moment to do anything but "cave" in some face saving way - basically saying what he should have in the first place, he supports the people's choice for pres, but Congress sometimes strands in pres way.
Plans and pieces aren't in place yet for Ryan's open departure from the party.
TAPPER: Well, specifically, when you talk about him being Eric Cantored, Eric Cantor was the House majority leader who was challenged in the primary by a conservative candidate who got a lot of grassroots support, and that was a big surprise.Paul Ryan is facing a challenge in the Republican primary in Wisconsin. The primary is coming up. It's August 9. The candidate is -- I believe his name is Paul Nehlen. Are you planning to support his challenger?
PALIN: Well, that's a good question, seeing as I haven't even got to call him and tell him that I'm supporting him.
But, yes, I will do whatever I can for Paul Nehlen. This man is a hardworking guy, so in touch with the people. Paul Ryan and his ilk, their problem is they have become so disconnected from the people whom they are elected to represent, as evidenced by Paul Ryan's refusal to support the GOP front-runner that we just said he's our man.
And what Paul Ryan and his ilk, again, their problem is, they're -- they feel so threatened at this point that their power, their prestige, their purse will be adversely affected by the change that is coming with Trump, and with someone like Paul Nehlen that they're not thinking straight right now.
TAPPER: Well, to be fair to Speaker Ryan, what he told me was, he was very concerned about the tone that Mr. Trump has taken, very concerned about some of the things Mr. Trump has said about a temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States, about deporting 11 million to 12 million undocumented immigrants in this country, things along those lines, comments about women, comments about Ted Cruz's father supposedly meeting Lee Harvey Oswald.
That's what he said he was concerned about.
PALIN: Yes.
TAPPER: You don't -- you don't believe him?
PALIN: Right.
And, no, those concerns are -- relatively speaking, Jake, they're superficial, talking about tone and certain verbiage that is chosen over what perhaps Paul Ryan or somebody would have chosen to articulate. Who cares?
We care -- the people of America care about getting things done finally, taking our government back and putting it on our side. It's all about we the people. And we're rising up, fed up with people who have screwed the American people by breaking their campaign promises.
We worked so hard to get Paul Ryan back in there, and so many other -- quote, unquote -- "conservatives," and look what they have done.
Palin did. See transcript just above.
