Cruz is young enough that he needs to finish this term as senator, run for Gov. of Texas in 2018
to get some executive experience then move from there to another Presidency run. He needs to
learn to work with people as he’s not the King in the senate. Building the correct relations
will help in a future run.
Unless Abbott moves on to something else, Ted would probably lose that election in a spectacular fashion.
Maybe he could do a Wendy and hold a few more filibusters in his tennis shoes
