I agree all you have to do is listen to his daughter Megan McCain on the radio to no he is going to be working behind the scene to put a knife in trumps back politically. he just does not want people to see his finger prints on the knife

Yeppers. If McCain were “winning” his primary with his “old views” McCain would never have been heard endorsing Trump, calling on Trump to be nominated.
Now, he doesn’t believe them - any more than Hillary or Obola believes them when they say things in their campaign speeches, but at least he is saying them. Payback, eh?
Also, by “endorsing” Trump now (BEFORE the AZ primary) McCain reduces the chance that Trump will appear in public with his opponent, endorse his opponent, or actively campaign for his opponent. But, then again, McCain is the prototype Washington insider.

Couldn't that headline read: “McCain on Nation: ‘Foolish’ to ignore will of Trump voters”? But, you are right: CNN is writing the headline to emphasize it "Trump" who is ignoring the will of (what CNN considers) the "the real" (ie, CNN) voters.
McCain is in his toughest bid yet for reelection - he's just being opportunistic with trump's popularity.

McCain is done regardless. The Latino’s are ramped up against Trump and will make it tough for many Republicans to win in AZ, including Trump.
Illegals are up in arms in CA. also however they are NOT supposed to be able to vote!!! Legal immigrants are supporting Trump their jobs are being taken also, I think TRUMP will win in AZ. I am also hedging my bets on CA. however so MANY businesses have left our state it is like LIVING in Mexico we will see!!!
