House Speaker Paul Ryan opened the door Monday to stepping down as Republican convention chairman if asked by presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump, whom Ryan has declined to endorse.
Ryan first made the comments during a meeting with Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporters.
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel columnist Christian Schneider tweeted: “.@SpeakerRyan on whether he'd step down as convention chair if Trump asks: I'll do whatever he asks me to do.”
Asked about the reported comments, a spokeswoman for Ryan confirmed to Fox News: “That is his position, yes.”

Yes I did, unlike a lot of people on this forum who did not vote for Romney but are now voting for Trump.
No. He was not my first choice, and I know he was the establishment’s choice, and I was not happy about it.
I can tell you though he was a lot more accommodating to the conservatives than Trump has been.
I think you miss the point though. I want to be wanted by this candidate. I want him to show he wants my vote and will support some of the most important conservative positions.
I don’t want to see him entertaining the issues of the left, whether he means it or not.

He should call Ryans bluff and say if he doesn’t think he can support the Republican Party nominee he doesn’t need to be involved in the nomination process and tell him he hears Hillary needs help.
Should Trump win the GOPE congress will be intransigent in their behavior and side more often than not with the Democrats in congress. I predict Trump will have to crucify Republicans in congress to the point of primaring all opposition to get things moving. Crime families don’t’ take well to the feds kicking their doors in and putting them against the wall for an anal reaming and the Republican/Democrat crime families are no different than other mob families.

If you’re dedicated to getting him elected, then you should care about whether he supports leftist positions, because that’s going to get him a loss.
Hold him accountable for being a conservative. If you don’t, he won’t look any different to the general electorate, except for the fact that he’s pissed off more of them than Hillary has.
