My 94 year old mom was having Trump Withdrawal Syndrome (TWS) a few days ago. “They only have the NEWS on — where is the news about DONALD!?” I told her she should consider signing onto FR, but, alas, her eyesight and dexterity are not sufficient.
You may already be aware of this, so apologies in advance if I’m suggesting something you already know. I use Internet Explorer and on the top far right there is a little circle/cog for “tools”. If one left clicks on this, one of the choices is zoom. One can then left click on 400%, then continue to zoom if needed. I’m not sure this will help with your mom’s being able to read posts or not. She doesn’t have to sign up on FR to read, just to post (if she has dexterity issues, posting may present other problems). I’ve not used other browsers, but they probably have zoom capabilities, too. I know that Microsoft products do have other accessibility capabilities.

That’s a shame cause I bet she’d love it here.
LOL, my husband asked me yesterday if there weren’t any rallies or interviews we could watch. He too is going through withdrawal.
Aw, your mom sounds like a sweetheart. I don’t know if this would help, but let me share with you how I accommodate my visual challenges in the hope that perhaps it may help.
What we’ve done is buy a YUGE monitor, and from there, set the resolution to the largest option.
I’ve adjusted the brightness and purchased anti-glare plastic shields, and tilted the monitor downward.
The addition of cheap dollar reading glasses brings the vision to within readability range.
This means that I can read Free Republic and keep the mind active, which means the world to me.
