That would be funny if I didn't know you really believe it.
My dad passed last year after 45 years of marriage when his "beloved wife" pulled the plug on him on a pretense.
Prior to that she spent two years trying to convince us kids we needed to help her have him declared incompetent from Alzheimer's, so she could get control of the money. Every one of us told her she was crazier than hell.
In the year since his passing, she's managed to get thrown out of the home of every living relative she has, including her own children, despite bringing over a million dollars of inheritance to the table with her.
The truly satisfying thing about the whole situation is I've ALWAYS known what she was like, because I'm the son of the first wife so she never bothered to hide her true self from me. And now that dad's not around to run interference for her the rest of the family sees it too.
There ya go. :-)

Be a sap, get married..
Or don’t, until the laws change so you don’t get ripped off and your life destroyed after divorce.
There comes a point Dr. where it is too late and for some what they want they can’t get and what they can get they don’t want. Happens earlier for some than for others.
I relooked at this thread after stumbling across this guy...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPYCPiJ_n7Y ...He makes the same point and apparently makes a living off it.
Thanks, but I never go to youtube since they started censoring and banning Americans. Happy to say with that 2016 thread, I am still happily married after 24 years.
That's like hitting the lottery. If you are a young man trying to get married today, it's a huge gamble. She might get bored and cheat on you and then take the house and the kids. So what can you do about it? You have to pay child support and you have to move out of the house you are paying for.
There needs to be reform in the legal system so that it is not stacked against the men.
Prager ... did he ever apologize to Bob Grant before he died?
you might even pay child support if the kid isn’t even yours!
...no. Dennis is an interesting and talented man but contrition is not his strong point.
Unless the previous husband died, the women in question are self centered and nobody wanted them for a partner anyway. I’m out of the game now and been widowed for 20 years since I was 48. At my age the axiom is “women, can’t live with them, can’t live with them”. Unless I hit the lottery I’m leaving this world as a widower. The discussion to which you linked is spot on.
As a father of 2 men, I disagree. They are better men than me.
Your mileage may vary...
Almost all marriages in my extended family have worked out fine.
But—in every case the couples knew each other for a long time (five years plus) before they got married—and none of them have had financial issues putting stress on the marriage.
There is just no room for error—marriage can be great, but you must know your future spouse as well as you know yourself.
Age is certainly a factor and at my age they simple sad fact is that I have absolutely no interest in what’s available. Prager is wrong because his premise assumes there are suitable mates available.

Who cares? The shortcomings of “men” and “women” are not your concern, and cannot by fixed by complaining about them. Is changing a law going to fix a character flaw?
Your life will be destroyed by marrying anyone addicted to Western popular culture and media. Your task is to not be this person, and to search for one - just one - other who is also not.
My wife and I never put what the media says about what our relationship should be ahead of what we believe our relationship should be.
People who make the mistake of marrying pop culture addicts are headed straight for bitter divorces. Because pop culture is designed to deliver this exact result.
