Absolutely, positively 100% truth.
Married 30 years. Glad she's gone. Never gonna do it again. Lost more than half in the divorce, rebuilt my wealth in the five years since.
She was such a b**ch even my two adult sons want nothing to do with her.
I'll stick to my hobbies and career and die happy. TYVM.
Like a stay at home dad?
The premise being that what you found is available to everyone? Not true although good for you in landing where you did, whether it was luck or effort or judgement.
Stupidest, most dangerous advice given to 18 to 40 year olds ever.
There is zero, and in fact less than zero incentives to marriage in 2021. Churchill said something like marriage is finding a women who hates you and handing her the keys to your house.
It is so, so much worse than that today.
True, but at some point you may find what you want isn’t available: thus you are screwed. You’ll simply grow old and die lonely unless you choose to accelerate the process.
Apparently, you’re not familiar with women’s athletics in the 21st Century.
Actually yes, maybe not right away but over time. If our legal system stands up for the rights of men more often and is not so biased towards women, I believe our culture will start to change a little bit.
I know that Russia is an authoritarian culture but Putin basically told LGBT to knock it off and that was end of that. In the '90s, Russia was liberalizing and they could have gone in a different direction.
Point is that much needs to be done to reform our legal system and not automatically give the benefit of doubt to women. As it is, our birth rate is dropping below replacement rate but we are replaced by immigrants. That may be a blessing because their cultures respect men in their families more so that would transform our society in the long run.
The divorce rate in the U.S. peaked in the early 1980s. One of the reasons it is lower now than in the past is that couples who would have been in a “risky” marriage (mainly lower-class and lower-middle class) have not been marrying.
