The legal system KILLS marriage. The risk of losing it all and having a nightmare if children are involved negates marriage.
I am happily married for 20 years, but I have had several friends go through Hell for no good reason in their divorces.
The courts are rigged towards women.
If I had to do it all over again, I’d have remained single, perhaps joined a monastery, if I leaned RC. Marriage to the wrong woman just leads to the early arrival of hell on Earth. No unadoptable dogs to worry about getting put down rather than adopted, as the bank forecloses on (its) house.
My Bible tells me that God is good. Evidentially, I find it difficult to see! Take the house, but kill the dogs, too? Where is His love in such a thing? ‘As far as the East is from the West!’, I guess! (Yes, I know the verse is about ‘out transgressions’, but it often seems more like ‘His love’, also.)
Same here (married almost 20); I understand why men avoid it, and it is hard to blame them.

Absolutely, positively 100% truth.
Married 30 years. Glad she's gone. Never gonna do it again. Lost more than half in the divorce, rebuilt my wealth in the five years since.
She was such a b**ch even my two adult sons want nothing to do with her.
I'll stick to my hobbies and career and die happy. TYVM.
